Making big changes in your home can feel intimidating, but at Womack Custom Homes, we want to help you feel comfortable throughout the process. That is why Stephen Womack, our COO and on-site manager, is always present at each project, ready to answer your questions.
Womack is a Cartersville native, which gives him competitive knowledge of the area in which he works every day. After graduating from Cartersville High School, he earned a Housing and Consumer Economics degree from the University of Georgia (UGA) and followed in his father’s footsteps, working in construction across the south. During his years at UGA, he gained valuable experience as a superintendent in the Athens area and traveled to Knoxville, TN and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL to build student housing.
Today, Womack manages the entire operation, ensuring clients receive the custom home or renovation of their dreams. His boots-on-the-ground role requires him to manage and jump between five to 10 project sites simultaneously. He works directly with the construction team to ensure your home project remains on schedule and addresses any changes or concerns you may have during the process.
“There’s a degree of satisfaction in building something that brings clients’ visions to life,” says Stephen, “I offer my expertise and experience while drawing from their creative ideas.”
Womack finds joy in presenting clients unique ways to meet their homeownership goals. Whether you want to build a custom home, remodel your current home or move to a large-scale development like City Overlook, he and the Womack Custom Homes team are excited to make it happen.

Home construction can bring many challenges, including weather, material delays and other roadblocks, but Womack’s critical thinking and patience provide clients with peace of mind. He uses his extensive construction experience to take any project from an idea to something that exceeds expectations.
When he is not on a project site, Womack enjoys spending time with his family. He currently coaches his son’s sports team and loves sitting in the front row at his daughter’s dance events. With his wife, Bess and two children, Gray and Elise, family is always a priority.
