Dedicated to custom designing, building and remodeling homes for the unique needs of each homeowner and their family, Womack Custom Homes recently put its team’s skills on display in a Cartersville multi-phase home addition and renovation project. Completed in three stages, the project consisted of a barn addition, a complete remodel of the kitchen and living area and a rear addition featuring an extended outdoor living space with covered and uncovered porches.
In the first stage, the new barn addition was specifically constructed to safely store the family’s large camper. Complete with rooster weathervane, the new barn addition was designed in traditional red-barn style and offers loads of space to house not only the camper, but also essential farm equipment.
The next phase included a complete renovation of the kitchen and living area. Boasting a blend of modern elements with rustic wood textures, the spacious living area features an eye-catching linear chandelier, dramatic wooden beams with a wood-plank ceiling, a plethora of seating options, industrial-inspired wet ceiling fan and stunning floor-to-ceiling fireplace with exposed brick – the perfect backdrop for cozy evenings and family gatherings.
The renovated gourmet kitchen perfectly combines farmhouse and industrial elements with black and white paint contrasts. The oversized L-shaped, eat-in center island offers plenty of room to entertain guests and hold conversations while preparing meals. Other standout kitchen features include a subway-tile backsplash, a double oven and separate chef-style oven with stovetop, picture-frame mosaic tile backsplash, mounted pot filler and farmhouse-inspired range hood. The black-painted island perfectly contrasts the surrounding white cabinetry.
Continuing the farmhouse-industrial aesthetic, a sleek, black steel partition splits the kitchen from the nearby butler’s pantry and renovated laundry room, both of which offer loads of storage options.
Finally, the third element of this multi-phase project included a massive addition off the rear of the home including a covered patio and extended outdoor living space.
The upper level features a half-covered patio with seating and outside bar with view of the pool below while the lower level features a pool-side dining area. The massive, covered patio offers additional seating, a full bathroom for guest convenience and hot tub – plenty of space to entertain friends and family any time of the year.
